on failure
We all fail. No way around it.
Lately, I’m trying to be intentional about turning each failure into a learning experience. Which means I’ve learned a LOT in the past 6 months. My initial reaction to failure is self-pity. However, I’m getting better and better at picking myself right back up and figuring out what my next move is going to be. I’m unusually optimistic these days.
I will...

move along
I feel so tested. Unemployment has been the worst experience of my life. I thought I had security issues before, but this is outrageous. It’s not just the money. It’s the acceptance, the belonging, and the relationships that come from being a part of an organization and serving a purpose.
My design business, Take Heart Media, has been fairly successful. It doesn’t pay...
